Kiyovu Sports are set to welcome experienced coach Mark Harrison as their new head coach.

The English coach is expected to arrive in Rwanda on 2 August ahead of the 2026-27 BK Pro League season.

Harrison boasts an extensive coaching career across the African continent, having worked in South Africa, Kenya, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Malawi.

His experience includes spells with some of the region's most recognised clubs.

One of the highlights of his career came in 2016 when he guided Township Rollers to the Botswana Premier League title. A year later, he led Zimbabwean club Harare City to Chibuku Super Cup success.

In August 2021, he was appointed as manager of the Kenyan Premier League team Gor Mahia. He was appointed technical director at Malawi's Mighty Wanderers in September 2022.

His arrival is expected to bolster SC Kiyovu Sports' technical department as they prepare for the upcoming 2026-27 BK Pro League campaign.

Kiyovu Sports finished last season under interim coach Ayubu Sebarera after Haringingo Francis departed for Rayon Sports at the end of March.
